According to court records filed today, Kansas City police were dispatched to the 8100 block of Ward Parkway Plaza in south Kansas City after a family member had observed the victim lying in the living room of the residence and discovered the back door open. The victim had been stabbed. Officers responding to the scene located Alina Bell, daughter of the victim, inside a bedroom. She was screaming and had blood on her body and clothing. Officers had her transported to Research Medical Center for treatment. Inside, officers found a large knife, covered in what appeared to be blood.
