A 28-year-old Kansas City man has been charged in connection with a robbery Sunday at Rush Hour in Lee's Summit, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Daniel D. Hooker, dob: 10/26/1987, faces Robbery 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action charges.*
According to court records, Lee's Summit police responded to a reported armed robbery at Rush Hour, in the 900 block of NE Colbern Road in Lee's summit. Employees said they were working at the business' register at the time of the robbery. They described the suspects. Lee's Summit officers caught up with a witness who was following the suspect's vehicle on Intestate 470. At the request of Lee's Summit police, Independence police and Missouri Highway Patrol joined in the pursuit. The suspect vehicle exited onto Manchester Drive and stopped. The driver ran northbound from the suspect vehicle and two Independence officers pursued on foot.
Prosecutors have requested a bond of $75,000.
