An Independence man has been charged with Tampering with a Judicial Officer after he sent text messages threatening a Jackson County judge and his family, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Timothy D. Graves, dob: 10/26/1957, faces the charge of Tampering With a Judicial Officer.*
According to court documents, Graves sent on Monday electronic messages to a court address, stating "Come to my house Puss! I triple dog dare u. fuck U. I'll fuck you up...." A subpoena for the telephone number that sent the messages showed the subscriber for that number was the defendant. Graves has had numerous court cases before the circuit.
Prosecutors requested a bond for Graves of $50,000.
