A Jackson County jury today returned guilty verdicts against James Canada Jr. on 14 counts of sodomy, rape, child molestation and incest involving three victims under 12 years old, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced.
The jury convicted James Canada Jr. of four counts of statutory sodomy in the 1st degree, two counts of statutory rape in the 1st degree, two counts of child molestation in the 1st degree and six counts of incest.
There were three victims in these cases. The defendant will be sentenced on Dec. 14 at 2 p.m.
Jackson County prosecutors Jill Icenhower and Kristen Ries prosecuted the case on behalf of the state of Missouri.
