An Independence man has pleaded guilty in the 2015 homicide of Paul. T. Doughty outside an Independence convenience store, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
William R. Godfrey II, dob: 5/20/1975, pleaded guilty to Voluntary Manslaughter and was sentenced Friday to 15 years in a Missouri prison.
Chief Trial Assistant Jamie Hunt prosecuted the case on behalf of the state of Missouri.
