A Kansas City man, 19, has been charged in a fatal shooting of Logan Shank, 19, inside a South Kansas City apartment on Wednesday evening, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Graham Dill, dob: 4/13/2001, faces Murder 2nd Degree and Armed Criminal Action charges.*
According to court records, Kansas City police were dispatched late Wednesday night to an apartment in the area of 113th and Montgall in Kansas City. Police found the defendant in the residence. He was talking incoherently and at one point stated to police, "Did I not kill this kid." The victim was identified by Kansas City police as Logan Shank. Witnesses told police that several persons were hanging out in two bedrooms in the apartment. Witnesses told police they didn't hear any argument or fighting between the victim and the defendant when they suddenly heard a shot. Police found a handgun and a bag of what appeared to be psychedelic mushrooms in the defendant's bedroom.. Detectives stated they believed the defendant was under the influence of narcotics.
Prosecutors requested a $250,000 cash bond.
