The woman who drove a man accused of fatally shooting Jacob Brantner to a grocery store parking lot in April 2016, where the alleged murder occurred, now faces felony charges, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Rahnesha Carson, dob: 12/14/1994, faces Accessory to Robbery in the 2nd Degree, Hindering Prosecution, Leaving the Scene of a Shooting, and Tampering with Physical Evidence.*
According to court records, Carson was informed by phone messages that codefendant Fazon Swinton wanted to rob the victim Brantner. After gunfire was exchanged at the parking lot and Brantner was fatally wounded, Carson drove drove him away from the scene and gave false statements about his injuries. She also attempted to get rid of the vehicle and told police she wasn't with Swinton at the time of the murder. Later, she admitted she was with him.
Prosecutors have requested a bond of $100,000.
