A Raytown, Mo., man was charged today in connection with shots fired Wednesday at occupied vehicle, which led to Op 100 standoff in Raytown, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Damon Huff, dob: 7-24-1987, faces Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Armed Criminal Action.*
According to court records filed today, Raytown police responded Wednesday to a report of shots fired near the Raytown Villa apartments. They found a vehicle apparently damaged by gunfire. Officers, including a SWAT team, responded to an apartment on Raytown Road. The parties, including the defendant, inside the residence unlocked the door and came out. A police search recovered a handgun from the room where Huff had been staying.
Prosecutors have requested a bond of $100,000 cash.
