A 40-year-old Kansas City man has been charged with the felony of resisting arrest in connection with a 35-minute chase through residential and Downtown Kansas City on Thursday, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Aaron Newman, dob: 1/7/1976, faces Resisting Arrest, a Class D felony.*
According to court records, Newman drove the eluding vehicle, going through construction barriers and putting workers at risk. He also drove through red lights and numerous stop signs, Officers stopped him by using a deflation device on his tires.
Prosecutors have requested a bond of $50,000.
