A Jackson County judge has found Michelle Dunkin guilty in connection with the fatal shooting of Michael Fisher in March 2018 inside a KC residence, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Dunkin, dob: 5/8/1972, was found guilty of Murder 2nd Degree, Armed Criminal Action and Felon In Possession of a Weapon.*
According to court documents, police were alerted that a dead body may be in the basement of a residence in the 1800 block of Cleveland. Police Tactical Response Team responded to the residence. They found the defendant inside, as well as the decease male on the floor of the basement. The defendant told police there had been an argument between the victim and another female when she fired shots. The victim fell down the basement stairs. She left the residence and later discussed dismembering the body to dispose of it.
Sentencing is set for June 13.
Assistant Jackson County Prosecutors Jordan Bergus and Joe Van Amburg prosecuted the case on behalf of the state of Missouri.
