A Jackson County jury today convicted Martel L. Harrison, 26, of Murder 1st Degree and other felonies in connection with the August 2020 fatal shooting of Sage Walston, whose body was found in the area of Linwood and Elmwood, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
The jury convicted Harrison of Murder 1st Degree, Armed Criminal Aciton and Knowingly Burning or Exploding.
The defendant will be sentenced on June 13. A Murder 1st Degree conviction requires a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Assistant Prosecuting Attorneys Jeremy Baldwin, Jacob Hjelmass and Erica Frank represented the state of Missouri in prosecuting the case.
