A Jackson County judge on Friday sentenced Robert L. Brown Jr, dob: 7/13/1973, to 12 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to a series of burglaries in Kansas City, including break-ins in 2015 in the Northeast Kansas City neighborhood of Scarritt Renaissance, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Neighorhood leaders and others worked with KC police to apprehend Brown after they noticed a burglary pattern in the historic Northeast neighborhood.
Brown agreed to plea guilty to four burglary cases and he was sentenced to 12 years on Friday as part of that plea agreement.
