A Jackson County jury convicted a Kansas City man, 63, on multiple child sex charges for sexual abuse he perpetrated on a child under 14 years old, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Robert J. Warren, dob: 07/27/1959, was convicted of Statutory Rape 1st Degree, Statutory Rape 2nd Degree, Sexual Misconduct Involving a Child, two counts of Child Molestation 4th Degree and Enticing/Attempting to Entice a Child.
The defendant will be sentenced on April 27, 2023.
According to court records, in August 2017, Kansas City police were alerted to sexual abuse involving a child. Forensic interviews of the victim confirmed the abuse on more than one occasion.
Assistant prosecutors Harrison Blue and Alison Schenkelberg prosecuted the case on behalf of the state of Missouri.
