A Jackson County jury late Wednesday convicted a Kansas City man who pointed a handgun at another man in a confrontation in November 2021, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
The jury convicted Bryan Medlin, 12/30/1986, of Unlawful Use of a Weapon.*
According to court records, Kansas City police officers on Nov. 28, 2021 were dispatched to area of 13th and Jackson. The victim had attempted to put the suspect in cuffs, telling him he would be detained until police arrived because the victim believed the defendant was stealing items. The suspect pulled a pistol and pointed it at the victim. The suspect then ran from the area.
The defendant will be sentenced by a Jackson County judge on June 28, 2024.
