Jackson County Prosecutor Melesa Johnson today announced eight felony charges against a man who allegedly burglarized numerous small businesses in Kansas City.
Hoang Vu Le faces three counts of 2nd Degree Burglary, two counts of 1st Degree Property Damage, one count of 2nd Degree Property Damage, one count of Stealing, and one count of 2nd Degree Attempted Burglary. *
According to court records, detectives connected the defendant to five business break-ins in Kansas City in November 2024 and March 2025. The defendant’s vehicle was captured on surveillance footage at the scene of each burglary. Detectives also found the same clothing the defendant was wearing on surveillance footage at the time of the break-ins at his home.
The defendant is being held without bond.
*Charges are only accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until the defendant is either found guilty or pleads guilty.
