A Kansas City man has been charged in connection with a fatal shooting inside a Lee's Summit residence on Friday morning, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Keith Marshall faces Murder in the 2nd Degree, two counts of Armed Criminal Action charges, Burglary in the 1st Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.*
According to court documents, on the morning of Friday, Nov. 22, 2024, officers responded to a Lee's Summit residence on a disturbance call. The caller had indicated that an adult male had been shot inside the residence. The suspect was known to the persons at the residence. Officers located the deceased male victim inside the home. The suspect and another male left the scene. He surrendered himself to police a few hours later. Another suspect remains at large.
The defendant is in custody on a $250,000 bond.
