A Raytown man has been sentenced to 22 years in prison for the fatal shooting in November 2017 of Clinton Peckman outside a Blue Springs restaurant, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
John D. Jeffries, 4/24/1993, pleaded guilty to Murder 2nd Degree and Robbery, and a Jackson County judge sentenced him Friday to 22 years in prison.
According to court records, police responded to a shooting outside a Blue Springs restaurant in the 1500 block of NW Woods Chapel Road. Witnesses gave a description of the shooter and officers in the area spotted a man in the area who matched the description. Jeffries was taken into custody
