A Jackson County jury on Monday convicted Jesus Garcia, dob: 6/30/1982, of four child-sex felonies and recommended three consecutive life sentences, plus 15 years, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
The jury convicted Garcia of Statutory Rape 1st Degree--Victim under 12, Attempted Statutory Rape 1st Degree -- Victim under 14; Statutory Socomy 1st Degree -- Victim Under 14, Child Molestation 1st Degree.
Following its verdict, the jury recommended that Garcia serve three consecutive life sentences, plus 15 years. A judge will sentence Garcia on Feb. 5, 2018.
Assistant Prosecuting Attorneys Kristiane Bryant and Audrey McCormick prosecuted the case on behalf of the state of Missouri.
