Two 26-year-old Kansas City men have been charged in a Westport area beating of a man and woman after citizens helped police identify the suspects, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Collin E. London, dob: 1/27/1996, faces two counts of Assault 1st Degree, while Daniel McQuarters, dob: 7/14/1996, faces two counts of Assault 1st Degree.*
According to court records, on Oct. 23, 2022, Kansas City police were dispatched to the 4000 block of Pennsylvania on a reported tavern disturbance. Westport Security arrived first at the scene. They found a victim bleeding from the head and unconscious. A second victim was also unconscious. The victims later told police detectives that they were walking along Pennsylvania when two men been to beat and kick them; one said she was pistol whipped. The police Media Unit distributed to media videos from social media of the assault. Police received information soon after from a Kansas City company that employees believed the two male suspects were employees of the company.
