A 19-year-old Kansas City man has been charged with multiple felony counts in connection with a January and February home invasion and robbery at KC store, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Jayvonn Davis, dob: 2/5/1998, faces two counts of Robbery 1st Degree, two counts of Armed Criminal Action and Burglary 1st Degree.*
According to court records, victims of a robbery on Feb. 13, 2017, in the area of 84th and Winchester Avenue told police that two men had entered their garage and come inside their home, throwing a female victim to the ground and putting a gun to her head. They demanded guns and money and threatened to kill her. They took money and a gun. In the second incident,on Jan. 9, 2017, police responded to a Save-A-Lot at 34th and Troost Avenue on an armed robbery. Victims said they had been approached by men armed with handguns. They took a gun from a security guard who had escorted a store employee outside to throw out the trash.
A co-defendant in the February incident at 84th and Winchester has already been charged.
Prosecutors requested a $100,000 bond.
