A 41-year-old Kansas City man faces felony charges in connection with the assault Saturday in the area of 66th and Broadmoor Road, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Naaman E. Williams, dob: 3/3/1975, faces Assault in the 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action.*
According to court records, police responded on a shooting and followed the victim to a hospital, where he was being treated for life-threatening injuries. Witnesses told police that Naaman Williams and the victim were in an argument when the defendant produced a revolver and shot the victim. Police found a revolver and the defendant told police the victim had a gun, but he changed that story later after seeing video of the incident.
Prosecutors have requested a bond of $25000.
