A 35-year-old homeless woman has been charged with the assault on Monday of trying to light on fire a man with whom she had had a long-term relationship, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Amanda N. Drake, dob: 6/11/1980, faces Domestic Assault in the 1st Degree.*
According to court records, firefighters were called to a house fire in the 300 block of North White Avenue. They found a victim who said he had been asleep when he felt liquid being poured on his back. He woke up and was on fire. The only other person in the residence was the suspect, Amanda Drake.
Prosecutors have requested a bond of $100,000.
