A Raytown man has been charged with multiple felony child-sex charges after telling police he had multiple sexual encounters with girl under 10, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Zachary R. Sprowls, dob: 9/191/1990, faces five counts of Statutory Sodomy 1st Degree for deviate sexual intercourse with a person under 14 years old, Child Molestation 2nd Degree, Statutory Rape 1st Degree and two counts of Statutory Sodomy or Attempted Statutory Sodomy.*
According to court records, Sprowls admitted to about 50 sexual encounters with the victim when she was between the age of 7 and 9. The victim detailed these encounters for detectives in the Independence Police Department. She stated he also threatened her in some way to make sure she would not tell on him. And he kept photos of her on his phone.
Prosecutor requested a bond of $150,000 cash.
