A Kansas City man has been charged in a knife attack at a Kansas City bus stop on June 2 that eventually took the life of the victim, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Ronald E. Moore faces Assault in the 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action charges.*
According to court records filed soon after the June 2 incident, responding officers saw the suspect at the scene with blood on his clothing and he had a laceration to his left hand. The suspect, according to witnesses, attacked the victim with a knife without argument or any words exchanged. The suspect was taken into custody at the scene.
Prosecutors received information on June 11, 2024, that the victim had passed away. The charges will be reviewed in light of the victim's death.
