A Jackson County jury has convicted Kirstin Stephens in the March 2014 murder in Independence of her 65-year-old husband, Charles Stephens, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.

The jury, ruling late Wednesday, found Stephens guilty of Murder in the 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action.

Stephens, dob: 12/12/1964, now faces life without parole in prison, will be sentenced on Nov. 18.
