A 26-year-old Kansas City man faces multiple felony charges for the fatal shooting of three persons at an after hours club near 57th and Prospect Avenue early Sunday in Kansas City, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Keivon M. Greene, 7/7/1996, faces two counts of Murder in the 2nd Degree, a third Murder in the 2nd Degree Felony Murder, and three counts of Armed Criminal Action charges.*
According to court records filed today, about 4:30 a.m. on June 25, 2023, officers were dispatched to the area of 57th and Prospect Avenue on a reported shooting. Arriving officers observed a deceased person in the middle of 57th Street and multiple shell casings. A second deceased person was found in one parking lot and a third deceased victim was found in a third parking lot. A surveillance video that captured the shooting showed a man in a white shirt shooting into a group of people in the parking lot of 5700 Prospect Avenue. Kansas City police determined the man was the defendant, based on witnesses or victims.
This case remains under investigation.
