A Kansas City, MO, man has been charged in the Oct. 13, 2024, fatal shooting of a man outside a convenience store in the area of 35th and Cleveland, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Tracy L. Parker faces Murder in the 2nd Degree, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and two counts of Armed Criminal Action.*
According to court records filed this afternoon, Kansas City (MO) Police Department officers were dispatched the area of 35th and Cleveland Avenue on a shooting. Officers found a male victim in the parking lot of a convenience store. Numerous shell casings were recovered. Video surveillance showed the victim raise his hand up in the air and back away after the suspect exited a black Blazer. The suspect pointed a black pistol toward the victim. He walked forward and began shooting.
Prosecutors asked that the defendant be held on a $500,000 cash bond.
