A Jackson County grand jury has indicted a Kansas City police officer who sprayed a juvenile protester in the face on May 30, 2020, during daytime protests at the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Nicholas M. McQuillen, dob: 8/1/1982, faces a single misdemeanor count of Assault 4th Degree.*
According to court records released today, McQuillen, a Kansas City police officer, recklessly caused physical injury to the juvenile when he sprayed chemicals into her face during the protest in the Country Club Plaza on May 30, 2020.
McQuillen will be issued a summons to appear in court at a future date.
