According to court records, Lee’s Summit police were summoned in July to St. Luke’s East Hospital on a reported sex offense. The 15-year-old reported victim was hysterical when she arrived at the hospital, according to witnesses. Later, in a forensic interview at the Child Protection Center, the victim disclosed that between July 7 and July 8, 2015 that she and a friend went to sleep in her friend’s house, when the defendant woke the victim. He was wearing boxer shorts. He told her to have sex with him or she would not see her friend any more. When she declined the defendant grabbed her by the wrist and squeezed tightly. He removed her clothing. While he had sex with her, he made her look at him by choking her and pulling her hair. Someone walked into the room and the defendant stopped. The victim ran and told her friend. Tests of semen recovered from inside the victim’s vagina at the hospital concluded that it came from the defendant.
Prosecutors have requested a bond of $100,000.
