A 31-year-old Kansas City man faces felony charges in connection with a September 2015 traffic accident on U.S. 71 Highway that killed one person and injured two others, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Juron D. Morris, dob: 10/17/1984, faces Involuntary Manslaughter in the 1st Degree, two counts of Assault in the 2nd Degree, and Driving While Revoked.*
According to court records, the accident occurred on Sept. 12, 215 in the early morning near 59th Street on US 71 Highway. The defendant was driving and reached speeds between 80 and 100 mph when he lost control of the vehicle and everyone was ejected. One passenger died from his injuries and two others were injured.
Prosecutors have requested a bond of $150,000/10 percent.
